samba and share to everyone on network

With samba or NFS is it possible to create a share that all users on a network can access without login rights or credentials to that server.

I have edited /etc/samba/smb.conf and set the share as valid users = everyone and read only = yes although I am prompted for username and password when I try to access that share.
