Subject: Laptop linux

\_ SMTP quoth Kitty on 9/11/2003 10:50 as having spake thusly:
\_
\_ I got my Dell Latitude LS up and running, dual booting XP & RH9. The
\_ only issue I have is that when in Linux, and press the power button, it
\_ immedietly turns off. Just like you've pulled the battery. Kind of
\_ annoying, since I have XP setup to go into hibernation when I press the
\_ power button.
\_
\_ I have "apm=on" as a kernel command in GRUB, is there anything else that
\_ I should have setup?

Some laptops are ACPI, not APM. Google and see, you can't be the
first person with this issue. :-)
