keymap on Debian

With keymap isn't it possible to reboot or shutdown a server when nothing else works. What wuold the sequence of keys be?


When I initially tried to reboot the server I got "Kernel Bug 11_rw_blk.c:936 invalid operand 0000 EFLAGS:00010246"

When the server was trying to reboot it was having a difficult umounting a optical magnato udf drive not sure if that is what caused it.
