apt-get dist-upgrade

Dude! What a bummer=2E It upgraded to the latest release of Debian which req=
uired me to build my=20
windows and everything! I was like so depressed but I got a copy of knoppix =
from Gabe and like totally=20
am starting over=2E I am crying as I type this now doing another system upgr=
ade (not dist-upgrade)=20

Use --download-only and go to sleep=2E That way it won't start the actual=20=

installs=2E=20

Then, once the downloads are complete rerun the dist-upgrade without the=20
--downl-load only=2E=20

If you wake up and the download isn't done, use ^c to cancel it and then=20
start it again the next night ( or break when you don't need the bandwidth=20=
