Subject: nework/rarpd config questions
Backstory:
My sun sparcstation boots fine from 3.5" disk but refuses to boot from a
cdrom. This would not be problematic except that it somehow destroys the
disk as it ejects it. Neither windows or linux can do anything with the
disk after the sparcstation has had its fun.

So I am relegated to using rapd to boot the machine so that I can make
one change so that it will be able to boot.

What I am unsure about so far:

1. How do I determine which of eth0 or eth1 is my pcmcia wireless card
and which is my cat5 connect on my laptop?

2. For my /etc/ethers which in a manual
(http://www.netbsd.org/Documentation/network/netboot/rarp.html#linux) is
listed as needing:

2# Create an /etc/ethers file, listing your client:

    #/etc/ethers
    CC:CC:CC:CC:CC:CC client

3# Add your client to the /etc/hosts file:
    192.168.1.10 client

so is the sun machine the client?

3. Not sure yet but I know I will have one.
