moin, moin,

the expo went quite well. The PLUG booth was busy most of the day. We had
a lot of interest. The capabilities of Knoppix and LTSP astounded lots of
people.

Thanks to Michael for stepping forward and getting us the booth! EMR offered
to help set us up, so thanks to them for the booth and the helping hands.

George's LTSP demo was the main item we had. Many people found it
interesting that GNU/Linux has so many applications. It was fun to then
tell them that the sof tware they were running was actually coming from
another computer.

I got a lot of mileage out of Brian's 20 computer LTSPish setup for Sequoia.

Thanks to those who helped at the booth: Mike, Bill, Alexander, Michael,
Derek, and George.

Thanks to our sponsors: AZOTO, EMR, and AZXWS.

The CDs Austin and Chris cooked up for us look great and definitely lended a
more professional atmosphere than the hand-written CDs we've given out in
the past.

Oh, and for those who didn't make it we had battle bots across the aisle! :)

3 schools in AZ have teams that make robots. 2 of them were there. Not full
on battle bots, but they had stuff running around all over the place. Some
of the bots had usable tools as well. Pretty cool. A couple of Free Software
guys in the group, so we might be able to get a demo some time...

ciao,

der.hans
