Mozilla Mail 1.4 buggy?

I guess I should have said most annoying version. Every 5 minutes or so the
notification banner pops up telling me that I have 7 new emails, except I
don't. If you are online for an hour and get this 12 times it is really
annoying.

1.3 was not beauty either. Under both linux and windows it would freak out
every once and a while when I walked out of a 802.11b network. It would go
to 99% of cpu power. I would just kill it and restart and the problem would
go away for a while. oH WELL
