I believe there are six different games in all. Some are similar to
Pong (bounce an object back) and some are similar to Moonlander (jump
over objects as you move along a path).

The unit that my cousins own consists of a game where a soccer ball
comes down the field in one of five "lanes" and the player must move
the goalie into the appropriate lane to intercept the ball.

I am curious what "irks [you] on a number of levels", though. :-)

Actually, after hearing the content, it doesn't bother me anymore, and
I'll tell you why.

It at first seemed like a meaningless thing your kid would get in the
meal, get bored with it, and throw it away. So I was thinking to
myself, what ever happened to things like puzzles and color-ins and
optical illusions, stuff that the kid still gets bored with and throws
away :) but at least bent the kid's left or right mind a bit. But that
thing is a puzzle, just one that moves in real-time, so it's good.

I was sitting next to a four-year old on the bus, he was playing Snake
on his mom's cell phone. The snake was able to wrap through the top or
sides of the screen. He'd let the snake travel in the same direction,
and it would wrap and wrap and wrap, and he'd keep his finger on a
direction button, then finally OOF hit the button, hopefully at the
right time, toward the egg. Hehe. He'll learn eventually.

Next question, next level of irkdom: fill in the blank, "Made in __".
