cloning my laptop hardrive

hello all


I got a laptop from work with win98 installed and a PCMCIA nic.

I want to back up the win98 image for safe keeping. The laptop is a dell and I
don't have the recovery cd. I plan to dual boot with rh9.

I can boot the laptop with a knoppix cd and the pcmcia nic is detected so I
can see my network.

Whats the best tool to use? I was thinking using the dd command but am not
sure if there any issues with master boot records or not.
