Subject: OT: AMD 2400+ & DFI AD77 Infinity
Thanks for the help. I know I have the right CPU. The part number on the
chip as the 2400 number in it. Plus, the clear box was so hard to open. I
don't think Fry's screwed this one up, like they do sometimes.

I will look at the DFI web site, like Bryce suggested. It must be a BIOS
thing, since the BIOS reports the 1.5 GHz speed. Any other suggestion are
requested.

Oh wait one. I can't remember, does a socket A work in a socket 462? I
think it does not matter, but can't remember. I think the sun fried my
brain today from doing the yard. You should see the bright RED arms. He he
he. Good thing it doesn't hurt.
