Does anyone have any experience w/ AMD processors? I have purchased the =
above combo fm Fry's and installed everything. My problem is that the =
processor speed only shows 1.5 GHz and the processor name is "AMD Athlon =
XP 1800+" in the system BIOS and OS. I even dl the amdcpuid.exe file, =
which shows the same thing as the OS/BIOS. Even the cpuinfo.exe file =
shows the same thing. Both file are fm AMD's web site.
Now, I know the 2400+ operates @ a speed of 2 GHz. So, what am I doing =
wrong? Am I missing something here? The system BIOS does not allow me =
to change any speeds, unless I am missing the BIOS settings to do this. =
PLEASE help!!!
