Redhat and graphics cards

Okay I've had RedHat 8.0 on my test box long enough to feel okay with it
and I'm thinking of upgrading all of my computers. Is there any
compelling reason why I should upgrade to 9.0 instead? Then I just got
the ATI All-In-Wonder RADEON 8500DV Card this has a tv card and comes
with a remote. Anyone know if I'll be able to do any of the kewl things
it does (record digtial tv etc...) on Linux or even if I can just play
3D games with it?
