Hewlet Packard ZE4145 laptop

Hi, all-

I am in the market for a relatively cheap ($1000 or less) Linux
compatible laptop. The HP ZE4145 is available from HP refurbished, and
has the bells and whistles I need (except for a floppy drive, which is
sucky, but oh well.) Anyone have experience installing/running Linux on
one of these? I am looking to run Mandrake 9.1.

I welcome any advice, as well as any tips on other good laptops to be
had on the cheap.
