Hi Jenny,

If you continue to require assistance, please feel free to give me a e-mail
off-list. I possess considerable experience in dealing with issues just
like these.

In the meantime, here is some good information to get you started in the
right direction. Qwest provides its DSL service in a standard format called
DMT. It is also known as T1.413 Issue2. If you purchase a DSL modem that
supports this format, then you are in business! Qwest now provides the
Actiontec external DSL modems which can be connected to your computer
through either the Ethernet or USB ports. Of course, if you're running
Linux, then Ethernet is likely the only way to go. You can purchase the
Actiontec from Qwest for $150 instead of renting for $5/mo. However, you
can purchase an alternative DSL modem. Unfortunately, then Qwest will not
provide tech support on the DSL modem. That's no problem if you're fairly
tech savvy or can easily get assistance. The Cisco 678 is a DSL modem Qwest
used to provide and support. It has been discontinued last year, but
remains an excellent choice! Look for DSL modems on sites like ebay.com.
Not sure about purchasing from a store like Circuit City or Fry's
Electronics.
