ppscsi

Does anyone know where to get a [working] kernel patch for the ppscsi
drivers?

I'm doing this to get my cheap scanner to work under linux but
the patch I got off of the SANE website seems to be for Kernel 2.2.10,
and 'fails' an important looking hunk destined for the makefile
which seems to tie the stuff together,

A kernel recompile, using a stock 2.4.20, revealed that the ppscsi modules
weren't compiled with the rest, probably due to the makefile reject.

Any Ideas?
