Subject: Mozilla + Java = broken
Alan,
I'm gonna take a chance and say the problem isn't with your system, it's
with the website. I have java 1.4.1_01 working and I'm getting a "notinted"
error at this page. I looked at the page source and it doesn't list a class
in the applet tag.

Did you try some of the other tests at this site? This one works:
http://www.javatester.org/version.html

Bart

I have:
-Red Hat 8.0
-Mozilla 1.0.1
-Blackdown Java RE 1.4.1

I thought I have installed it all right, following the instructions with the
JRE and other places on the web. However, no java running. For example, I
go to http://www.javatester.org/enabled.html and I get the plugin icon where
the java should run. About:Plugins does not list java.

Any hints on where to look for error messages or configuration goofs?

Alan
