BTW - smartly so, GIMP remembers the last state it was running in -
primarily what tool controls were open. It will open up with those tools
(or lack of) already open in their windows - a time saver for those who
do pretty much the same thing every time they run the GIMP - saves them
from having to go in and re-open every window they normally use and/or
close windows they normally don't use. So, open up the tools you think
you'll want to use every time you open GIMP and leave them open when you
exit GIMP - "File/Quit" or CTRL+Q.
