Hmmm, could it be so much inferior that it also affects the 3D? I
upgraded from RH 7.1 to 8 (well, a clean install anyway) and rebuilt the
drivers off the latest SRPM's available from them and I noticed that my
gears screensaver has gone from 44 to 48fps to 32 to 33fps - I assumed
it was the new Gnome2 puting more of a load on my old systems since it
is a bit slower than 1.4...
