Subject: nvidia gforce4 performance
Is that particular issue specific to any one of their cards, or to all
in general? I'm using 4191 on RH 8 with little problems on a cheapo
Nvidia2 400mx 64mb and so far it seems to be doing okay, fingers
crossed. Needless to say that the RH 8 is a bit more bloated - my
frame-rates have dropped a bit. Hopefully Gnome2 will get the speed back
up there... Were they specific about the 2d issues? The only issue I had
was when I upgraded the kernel, the new kernel didn't like my XF86Config
settings - especially where I changed nv to nvidia to get GLX to work. I
reran the configurator, reinstalled the nvidia drivers, re-edited the
XF86Config file and all is well...

Cheers,
Mike
