Compiling kernel

You know what,
As I sat here tonight hitting Y or N after typing 'make config' it struck=

like a load of bricks, I haven't a clue what I am doing. If I bring my=20
computer in on ther eighth could we do that after or before the class? It=
=20
quite possibly would be better to get it running before the class. Perhap=
s we=20
could use it as a teaching tool but compiling a kernel takes a mighty lon=
g=20
time.
