not really sure- never tried slackware.
i typically use webmin on a redhat 7.1 or 7.3 box.
tho its suttports SW 3.2 , 3.3 , 3.4 , 3.5 , 3.6 , 4.0 , 7.0 , 7.1 ,
8.0 , 8.1

once the initial install is done- it lives in a closet with no monitor
kbd or mouse.
just power, and 2 cat 5 runs <one for each nic.>
