RF yes, IR not unless they are peeking into the windows and with most
newer homes here in the Phoenix area even peeking into the windows will
not work for IR as most high efficiency windows block the sun's IR
somewhere between 75% - 99% let alone a low power source as a
keyboard/mouse.
