FYI, I found out why the clock display on Mandrake was running 7 hours
behind for me- apparently Mandrake Linux "wants" to display the time as
Greenwich Mean Time. Consequently, if your system clock is set to local
time, you must indicate at set up that it is set to GMTin order to
display local time. If you indicate that your system clock is /not/ set
to GMT, the software will make the necessary adjustment based on your
locality so that the clock displays GMT anyway.
