Virus scan

In general right now, no. I don't think Anti-virus software will help against
worms. Keeping the system up to date with patches and running root (and things
as root) as little as possible should keep him fairly safe. Also running a
firewall (iptables or ipchains) on the box to only allow in certain traffic will
help.
