mp3 gathering software

I have downloaded several programs for linux but i can
never get them to run. I just want to find some good
ol software that will enable me to find mp3s on the
internet. something similar to kazaa or audiogalaxy,
or if i can get help on getting either of these to
work on my box that would be great.
