I meant the GUI is handicapped. Only A records allowed. I figured (and
actually prefer) CLI (Cisco junkie) would be the best way but I have my
personal projects due ASAP. I just had a son, my hosted email just
blocked port 143 from me, I know M$ very well but hate it, and I need to
get my mail back up. All this with a newborn makes the learning curve
more difficult.
What I was hoping for was a default install of RH and that the tools
would be complete.
I'm trying to get a DNS server (mine) to point my MX to my server. That
(the DNS stuff) I can get if I can get BIND down (easy).
I'm learning OpenLDAP and need to get my Exchange Address books
incorporated. (still don't have a clue yet)
Then I need to figure out Courier with Webmail and IMAP to host my mail.
(I sure hope by December - my goal)
I just need a cheat sheet for LDAP to get me going. Also if I could see
someone's Courier mail server config files, that would also help me out.
Still haven't installed Courier, just read the docs.
More importantly, I need this stuff up. I can slap this up in 30
minutes with NT but I hate it. I'm looking for a long term solution.
If anyone has experience with OpenLDAP and Courier, I would like to get
together at one of the meetings or sooner.
