I have a PCI winmodem (came with a system I bought three and a half
years ago, just before I got into Linux) which had drivers, but I
wouldn't recommend it. If it's possible, I'd recommend a good external
modem. If that's not possible, here's a hardware compatibility list for
PCI modems:
