Right now the irc server is down, but normally you would connect with a "/server pretorian.ath.cx 6667"(remove the quotes) I think youll find that if you go to the right places irc can be one of the best tools at your disposal. Freenode(formerly open projects) is a huge network where tons of opensource projects are discussed, its also a great place to get general help on just about anything. To connect do a "/connect irc.freenode.org 6667"(without the quotes again) HTH
