links rocks. It handles tables and looks a lot nicer. It's bad at
refreshing, though, so I use lynx when working on web-pages. I also had
probs with cookie behavior, but I forget the specifics.
lynx properly lists images that don't have a blank alt tag. links looks
nicer because it ignores them. I've been amazed by the people who don't
understand that, so let me elucidate.
alt tags for images give text that shows up if the image doesn't come in for
some reason, e.g. you're using a text-only browser. If the img directive
doesn't have an alt tag the name of the image is used. Don't know if that's
correct behavior, but that's what lynx does.
The proper thing to do for images that shouldn't be displayed if there's no
image is to put in a blank alt tag, e.g.
<img src="Bilder/spacer.png" alt="">
<img src="Bilder/web-bug.png" alt="">
