At work I'm told it's a good idea to move to most recent kernel for Red Hat
( 2.4.18-19, I think ). This is mostly due to scsi probs, but it fixes other
issues as well.

Seems like something is blocking the loading of the module.

Is this kernel from a RH package? Does RH require installing a modules
package as well?

What modules do you have loaded ( lsmod )?
