Choose to manually partition and create a ext2 partition.. It appears
there is already a FAT partition on the drive, which you need to delete
before creating you ext2 partition. What distro are you using?

Subject: new install problems

My actual problem is in trying to partition the HD. I run the auto
partition mode and it gives me this message: Could not allocate
requested partitions: partitioning failed: could not allocate
partitions. Then it shows me this:

/dev/hda start end size type
mount point

    /dev/hda1 1 1022 2012 vfat

    free space 1023 1023 1M free space

I am installing this on an old Packard Bell 133 Pent. with 32 Meg of RAM
and a 2 Gig H/D. I intend to set this up as a router in my LAN and to be
the firewall to my cable modem. Any help would be appreciated. Cliff
