Most large installations of Debian I know of, mirror the package
repositories anyhow. As its a LOT more efficent to nightly get a mirror
of the repository and have your 1000 desktops point to a LOCAL server to
do update/upgrade than it is to have 1000 of them going out to the net
to do so.
