But neither do they support it. My last call into them I made the
mistake of mentioning my firewall and got 'We don't support home
networking. Please plug your windows machine directly into the cable
modem.' I did no such thing and issued the unix variants of the commands
the tech wanted me to issue. Cox techs DO have tools that allow them to do
things with yout modem, though. I don't call tier1 support anymore, I call
tier2 directly because they can effect the most change and it's a shorter
cycle.
