Subject: Connecting Two Computers
What operating systems and versions do you have on the two computers?

For starters, make sure that the IP addresses that you are using are on a
private subnet. ie:

192.168.1.x netmask 255.255.255.0

so one card could be 192.168.1.4 and the other 192.168.1.6 (only the last
number is changed.)

We will need to know more about the software side of your setup to finish this
but it sounds like the hardware is all there. Can you connect with the
internet okay using the box with the modem ?
