URL Watcher?

Spent the last few days searching the net trying to find a program that can
monitor urls and alert when they change. I found one possibility for KDE called
kwebwatch (kwebwatch.sourceforge.net), but it hasn't had an update since January
and won't compile in RH7.3. Does anyone know of a URL monitoring applet or
program with similar features (can ignore parts of pages). Mostly I want this
to monitor certain sites (like MySQL.com or php.net) for new versions of
software.
