I just wanted to say that I had a blast on Saturday.

It was my first PLUG meeting although I have been using Linux for about =
10 years (since Slackware 1.0). I walked in expecting to learn more =
about turning my desktop to Linux, since all I have done with Linux so =
far has been servers and routers. I found a guy named Matt that was =
installing Slackware 8.0 and started talking to him and eventually =
helped him install.=20

To make a long story short, with the help of several people whom I =
didn't even get their names, we got Matt's PC up and running on X. As =
you know, in Slackware you have to do things the hard way sometimes. I =
now have a better idea of what X is and how to set it up.

The knowledge base you guys have is amazing. It was what I expected to =
find when I decided to join and add another hundred emails a day to my =
mailbox. :) Now I pretty much read every one of them every day and I =
look forward to the next event.=20

Thanks!
