Subject: Terminal app?

Boy, I feel like this should be obvious but it has not come up before in my
Linux life so I have never thought about it.

I need a terminal app that comunicates through a serial port. You know,
something like that Hyperterminal program on that other OS. Nothing is
poping up at me as that app. Doesn't have to be X/GUI but some logging
capability would be really nice.

Somebody point me to something, please.

Alan
