Me no get it

Have Dell system with IDE drive & Adaptec 2890 embedded controller with
hard drive (location of /boot & / partitions)

first tried to set it up with boot priority of SCSI hard drive and
installed grub / RH 7.2 would only boot off floppy

then changed boot priority to ide drive and tried to install grub again.
But it still will only boot from floppy.

did grub-install /dev/hda

and it reported
(fd0) /dev/fd0
(hd0) /dev/hda
(hd2) /dev/sda

but still no go...

/boot/grub/grub.conf looks like...

webmin module - when I tell it to install grub, gives me error...
Failed to install GRUB : Could not find menu file

menu file is /boot/grub/grub.conf which is indeed there.

how do I install this from cli?
