Subject: Recording mpg's
I don't know what it would take to make DivX using Linux. I haven't began to
look there. It does take a bit of reading and trial and error to get it
right.

I'm currently using Windows to convert my DVDs into DivX. I can give you
some starter links and names of the applications that I use (they are free)
if you want to use Windows.

Otherwise, for Linux, I'd start with a search at google for "DivX for Linux"
and go from there.
