What is the *nix analog to ipconfig?

Also, is there a tool to configure SAMBA without a GUI interface?
I hope I don't have to edit all SAMBA's config files by hand.

(Yes, I just set up a box to play with Postgresql and decided not to hassle
with an X-server.)
