I wrote a simple template/script system a couple of years ago. It only took
a couple of hours to whip out. It uses gpg to sign the plain text invoice,
then I email that to my clients.
Putting the invoice in a format you can sign with gpg and email in works
great. I don't do a lot of consulting, but all my clients have accepted that
thus far.
