IDE Raid install

So do I need to toss in another hdd (hda) and install to OS there and
just try to use the raid as a data drive?

\_ As the boot drive? You're most likely going to have some fun. Last
\_ I checked, promise had only released a kernel mod for rh7.1 and the
\_ kernel native driver only supported some of the raid configurations.
