gentoo question

A Gentoo question for Gontran ;-)

Since the latest image is:
    build-ix86-1.0.tbz2             18-Mar-2002 20:06   7.8M  
instead of the iso:
    build-ix86-1.0_rc6-r17.iso      04-Mar-2002 02:50  16.9M  

I have the following quick question. Is the .tbz2 file a bz2 giped iso
image? If so I assume that one whould be used.
