Thank you for that kind introduction and generous applause. (Almost makes up for the arm twisting ;^)
I want to remind everyone that if you have something that you want to provide as a prize at a meeting, you don't need my approval to just bring it and give it away. These sorts of generous actions have happened and continue to happen, like all those prizes at yesterday's meeting. I just want it known that just because I am the Swag-Man, doesn't mean others are not welcome to bring stuff in.
Now, I assume the slaps on the back will stop and the cries of "Where's the swag!" will begin. I'll do something about that.

I think a standing-o is appropriate. Stand up and give Alan a big hand while
you read this.
Remember the only way ANYTHING gets done in PLUG is when someone volunteers
to do something. The more help we get, the more we can do. I can cajole
someone into coordinating meeting presentations, but if YOU want to
VOLUNTEER, just let me know. In fact, if you want to volunteer for just
about anything, let me know. We can always use the help.
