I was contacted by Brainbench themselves about a job after taking one of their UNIX tests. I did not take the job, I was happy with the one I had. I lived close to them (Northern Virgina) at the time.
I took the test because A) it was free, and B) someone whom I had interviewed put it on their resume. I wanted to see if it counted for anything.
Overall, I have more confidence in their tests, because at least they are independent of the vendors.
