xhost question

You're likely OK. Supposing your ipchains ruleset denies incoming requests
by default, unless say, a request is for a certain port which you have
allowed access to or forwarded.

If you haven't explicitly allowed port 6000 to be forwarded to your
main workstation from your firewall (which I suspect you haven't) I'd say
your OK. YMMV, I haven't seen your ruleset. (not that I want to ;)

This is what firewalls are for no? So we can be lazy, not worried.
