help needed: undeleting files

Hi,

I guess I'm following the mini-howto for undeleting files
(http://chandra.ph1.uni-koeln.de/linux/HOWTO/mini/Ext2fs-Undeletion-4.html).
I am not getting the results that I apparantly should be.

First, I umounted /home, the partition where the file I deleted was. I
verified it was unmounted I guess in /etc/mtab. Then, when I go into
debugfs mode and type lsdel, I show a result of no deleted inodes. If I
delete a file in /home, the unmount /home, then do lsdel at debugfs, should
I not see one deleted inode or more?
