Subject: PC Weasel 2000
These are the holy grail of remote admin for machines that can't be
rebooted or are in a secure environment where you can't keep ssh open
(or run a redhat box....smirk). The last company I worked for had
remote sites in India with a few dozen boxes... and when a machine would
go down, instead of cycling the power you could go in and see the
console (often showing why it crashed) and hit the reset button, and
watch it come back up again. A bit pricy for everyday use, but a LOT
better than dispatching a technician out of state or country to reboot a
box that didn't start back up again correctly.
