Subject: KDE DOS disk on Desktop
I just made a few minor changes to my system that I thought some of you
might be interested in. I have a dual-boot RH7.1/Win98 laptop.
Here's the section for Windows in my /etc/fstab:

/dev/hda1 /mnt/dos vfat noauto,owner 0 0

Next, I right-click my desktop in KDE and select Create New... Hard Disk.
I then point it to /dev/hda1 and /mnt/dos.

Next, I changed the ownership of /dev/hda1 to me:

chown m /dev/hda1

So the dos filesystem is not mounted until I click the disk icon on my
desktop, at which point I can then browse my files in Konqueror on the dos
side.

Nothing I did was that big of a deal, but it makes things a bit easier.

Oh, and by the way, Linux rocks! ;-)
