Hey people,
Ive managed to install Slack on this desktop pro which was an experience =
..
Im Wondering if anyone out there has any info on the following..
Sound Card - The sound device is an Ad1847 ive compiled up the Ad1848 =
Alsa driver which
apparently supports this chip .. I need to know =
what ranges i need for the=20
snd_port=3D argument ive tried 0x530 and 0xcf6 as =
given on a page i read.
Eisa Bridge This is showing as a PCI device the manufacturer is =
showing as Compaq
The device is showing as Unknown but it does show =
rev3 ..
I think the key to getting the Eisa host bridge up. this i think will =
make the task of getting the 2 Eisa scsi cards i have in it ( Mylex Raid =
& Compaq Ultra / Wide ) up and running easier.
any idea's info would be great
Nige
ps - im about to throw Win98 at it.. I have a 500meg spare hdd in hope =
that windows can shed some light on io irq stuff as this has proven =
useful in past experiences..=20
